Plain English, no small print doing tricks. This is the deal.

What TEXTBACK is

TEXTBACK is run by [YOUR TRADING NAME]. When someone rings your business and you don't answer, we send them one text back from your business, and we show you who rang and what they said. That's the service. It doesn't answer calls, it doesn't talk to anybody, and it doesn't book jobs.

The trial

14 days free. No card to start, so there's nothing to be charged and nothing to remember to cancel. If you don't carry on, it just stops, and we help you switch the divert off your phone.

The price

£50 a month, flat. That covers normal use - a couple of hundred texts to your customers a month. If your use goes well past normal we'll talk to you first, always before anything changes. No per-text charges, no surprise bills, ever.

Stopping

No contract. You pay month to month and you can stop any time. One thing matters when you stop, so we're straight about it here: the divert lives on your phone and only you can switch it off - no provider can do it from our end. When you cancel, we send you the one-tap switch-off, then place a test call to check it worked. Please do that step; until the divert is off, your missed calls are still being sent to a number you're no longer paying for.

Your side of it

• Give us your real business name - it goes on every text your customers get.
• The text-back is a reply to people who rang you. Don't ask us to use it to send marketing blasts - that's not what it is, and the law treats it differently.
• Keep your wording lawful and decent. It's your name on it.

Our side of it

We aim to send every text within seconds, and we test your setup every week and tell you if anything breaks. But texts travel over mobile networks we don't control, and no network is perfect. We don't promise every text arrives, and we're not liable for a job you didn't get. If something on our side fails and it's our fault, we'll say so and put it right.

The legal bit, kept honest

Nothing in these terms takes away rights the law says you keep. Beyond that, if we're ever liable to you for something, it's capped at what you've paid us in the 12 months before the problem. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
